With the family’s rich sporting history and their involvement in the development of cricket Malan Morkel and his father Albert Morkel established MORKEL SPORT in 2000.
The shop started out as a small cricket pro shop based on the premises of the North West University Vaal Triangle Campus where they owned a very successful Cricket Academy.
They soon had a loyal customer base and expanded the range they offer to cater for the growing demand the market had for quality products and expert advice.
In 2008 Morkel Sport opened their second branch on the premises of Hoërskool Garsfontein and 2018 their third at Laerskool Tygerpoort in the east of Pretoria. In 2019 the third branch opened at Maragon Primary School.
The family look forward to expand even more and is grateful to their loyal customers for the support.
